Nancy Hartley, Publisher

A native of Chicago, Nancy has enjoyed over 25 years in trade publishing. Her first experience in advertising-space sales was with Byte Magazine and Popular Computing. Nancy was then hired for inside sales at Gorman Publishing in Chicago. Working with Prepared Foods Magazine, Dairy Foods Magazine, and Bakery Production & Marketing, Nancy was promoted to Group Manager for inside sales. She then joined Associated Equipment Distributors, a trade association for the heavy construction industry as National Sales Manager. After five years in the construction industry, Cygnus Publishing recruited her for a territory on Equipment Today Magazine. She was promoted within one year to Publisher of four custom publications on behalf of Caterpillar Corporation and then promoted again to Group Publisher over all construction-related titles, including Equipment Today Magazine, Rental Product News, and Pavement Maintenance. Nancy then moved to their New York division to oversee three magazines in the chemical-process industry, a retail-food distribution magazine, and a maintenance supply-distribution magazine. She joined Cahners in April 2000 as Group Publisher of New Steel and Metal Center News Magazine. In October 2001, Nancy and her partners purchased Metal Center News Magazine and formed Sackett Business Media Inc.

Craig Schroeder, Chief Financial Officer

Craig is the Chief Financial Officer of Sackett Business Media Inc. He oversees all financial business relationships for the company. Craig previously was CFO for Cygnus Business Media where he was the financial point person for acquisitions and due diligence.

Tim Triplett, Editor-in-Chief

Tim has more than 30 years' experience as a writer and editor for various newspapers and trade magazines. An award-winning journalist, Tim brings a wide-ranging background in business and technical writing to the post. Besides a bachelor's degree in mass communications, he holds an MBA from Aurora University in Aurora, Ill. Tim took over as editor of Metal Center News in January 1998, when the publication was relocated from New York to the Chicago area.

Dan Markham, Senior Editor

Dan joined Metal Center News in 2005 as a senior editor. Previously he was a long-time writer and reporter, working 12 years at three Indiana newspapers. He also spent four years as a freelancer, writing for newspapers, magazines and books.
